saturday night was sunny and warm after so many days of gloom. it couldn’t have been better for our shoot. and, i couldn’t have had better models. either they did their homework and practiced lots of posing and smiling in the mirror or they are total naturals! i am so excited to get to hang out with these two again on their wedding day in september.

tucker, their dog, came along for a family portrait and enjoyed running around the property! he’s pretty cute!

moments before this image was taken birds flew out of this barn and had us (matt too i think) screaming!

jenessa and kyle, or should i say- jessica and carl, were married on saturday! i had so much fun hanging out with them and being surrounded by their love all day.

::edited to add:: i got my slideshow program all sorted out so please CLICK HERE to see more images in a slideshow of kyle and jenessa’s day!

i began my day at hastings lake gardens for the ceremony and was lucky enough to hang out with the bride and her family right before the ceremony started.

this pic popped out at me while i was culling images. love the look on kyle’s face!

yay! mr. and mrs.!!!

jenessa was super easy to take pics of. i wanted to keep shooting her!

then we were off to our first location. i love the way the images turned out!

such an awesome wedding party. note- all the girls are sisters and you might be saying to yourself “my goodness they are a great looking bunch!”. yup, i agree! good looks totally run in the family as they are drew’s cousins

if i look at this image too long it hurts my eyes…

and then the party started!!! i had so much fun at this wedding and danced up a storm. no, you will not be seeing those pics- i look a mess.

Mom Susan - ahhhh LOVE is all around. such great pics of a great looking group!!

Anne - Awesome pics Carla, you always come up with some great locations and ideas! I especially like the one of Jenessa resting her head on Kyle’s shoulder….what a beauty! Of course, all the girls are stunning (although I could be a little biased!) It was a lovely wedding and I was happy that the rain finally stopped in time for the ceremony.

two years

happy anniversary drew nahirney!! i can’t believe it has been two years already. time flies when you are having fun…

here we are just a couple days after we met! yup, we were youngsters. drew- 17 and me- 15 to be exact, on family vacations in waikiki. i seriously remember that vacation like it was yesterday. i still get butterflies when i look at that pic and all the memories come flooding back.

i won’t bore you with the details on here but ask me in person and i will gladly tell you the story of how we met!

and here we are on our wedding day two years ago. this is my favourite image from the entire day! the looks on our faces are priceless and take me right back. it was a perfect day.

here’s to many, many, many more amazing years of marriage like the two we have already had…
